I am opening a coffee shop. It's decided....

Why you may ask? Two reasons: Coffee and Community

Lindsey Iman and I were talking today at Panera, and decided that opening a sweet coffee shop would be so fun! Salina needs a good hang out place for high schoolers and college kids. We were imagining a place that would be warm and inviting that would serve some great coffee and drinks, appetizers, and wifi! Live music on the weekends, art exhibitions on the walls, and a nice outdoor deck with Christmas lights......Basically a great combo of Radina's and Bistro for Salina....

And how sweet would it be to turn this into a ministry?!? Ah!! I get so excited thinking about it....

At Perspectives several weeks ago, a lady and her husband who used to be missionaries in Tibet moved back to Oklahoma and started this coffee shop. It is located in a suburb from OKC. A suburb in which there are more strip clubs than anything else. So they opened up this coffee shop to reach the community and build some great relationships with the locals. And the Lord has blessed their work astronomically!!! She had some sweet stories to share, and I thought to myself, "Self, that would be so fun!"

Coffee and community......Ah, I can smell it now.....
