Wal-Mart...the number two campground of choice

Yesterday was the first day of the "Great American Family Vacation", and we celebrated in style by camping in the Wal-Mart parking lot of Denver, CO!

Long day of driving....I slept from Salina to Hays, but as we were leaving the county, some major potholes convinced me our 1980's RV just might fall apart. Luckily, we made it...

Clay was sick yesterday with a fever of 103, so we are hoping that the rest of us dont catch it....Since we got into Denver with time to spare, Dad, Casey, and I made a trip to see my school for next year....the 18 mile drive took about 45 minutes with traffic, a motorcycle wreck, and a broken down car. The seminary is right across the road from an Arapahoe Community College and just in front of the mountains!

We went to a Rockies game that night, well Mom and Clay stayed home (by home, I mean the Beaver RV) and watched movies. Did you know the mascot for the Rockies is a triceratops? Kinda looks like a ridiculous version of Barney....not sure if I'm a fan quite yet. But the game was fun, the fans got into it, the stadium was packed, and I finally found the slushie guy! A guy sat down in front of us with a black shirt on that was covered in white hair....Casey's comment: Well, somebody owns a cat....

The next morning we headed to Cody, WY. Another long drive, but now we are parked at the Ponderosa campground. Their wifi is called "Hoss" ....I thought that was funny. We were looking for a place to hook up the sewage pipe, and Clay was like, "Where do we dump her at?" It was funny.....

Here is us in Wyoming.....
